Gracie's New Trick!

Gracie just learned how to roll from her back to her belly! She's been able to roll from her belly to her back for about a month now, she just couldn't master the other. She's just getting so big, so fast!! It seems that Gracie is growing up so much faster than Cooper did!

Cooper is having a really hard time adjusting to Daddy being gone. We made a picture book for him, and he carries those pictures with him everywhere! I also made him a poster board of pictures of him and Garrett and our family. He also knows that Daddy's in Oklahoma (or 'homa' as Cooper says it!).

Our poster of Daddy.

I got to talk to Garrett today and he said that he's been pretty sick. He had to go to the doctor today and got 2 bags of IV fluids and some antibiotics. He told me that he feels a lot better now and was able to eat dinner. He's in his actual Warrior Transition Course now, the processing part is over. He calls it 'the other side of the tracks'. He says it's basically like Basic Training, so he's working like crazy! He managed to send me a picture of him in his new uniform.

He looks so handsome!

We used this picture to order Cooper a 'hug a hero' doll. It's a doll they make for military (and others) family to have daddy (or mommy) close in doll form. It's really neat...I'll post more about it when we get it.

I think that's the latest news, I'll write more later.

Garrett's In Oklahoma

Well Garrett left on Thursday. It's been really hard on all of us, especially Cooper. We got to go to the new Airport to see Daddy off.

Grammie and Cooper watching the planes come in.

It was a VERY hard day on all of us. We got to see Garrett at 1pm and he had to go through security at 3:30pm. So, we ate lunch and just spent some time talking. This was really hard for Garrett to leave the kids. But we know that this is better for us in the long run.

Gracie's last kiss from Daddy.

Cooper's last kiss from Daddy.

Last hug. I love this man so much!!

We're not sure how long this training is going to be, but we do know that we can outlast it!! He's in Oklahoma now for Warrior Transition Course (WTC). He should be there for about 4 1/2 weeks. Then he'll be headed to Alabama. We're hoping to visit in between training sessions. We'll keep you posted in the meantime!

Last family picture...we are so blessed!

One Extra Day!

We were extremely blessed to have one extra day with Garrett! His ship date got pushed back to March 19th! On that day, we went to the church and Cooper flew his first kite! He wasn't too interested in flying it himself...so he just chased after it while Daddy flew it! He had a blast! It was just a special day for all of us to spend together. It was a great day for Daddy and Coop.
